Agfa HealthCare Wins Uzbekistan Ministry of Health Tender

Agfa HealthCareAgfa HealthCare announces it has won a project of 115 CR 30-X computed radiography (CR) systems with DRYSTAR 5300 direct digital imagers in Uzbekistan. The tender for the Ministry of Health (MOH) is financed by the World Bank. Agfa HealthCare received the official tender award in July, and final contract approval in early November.

High-quality, efficient and easy-to-use solutions
Agfa HealthCare's CR 30-X is a compact, tabletop CR digitizer offering high image quality with high throughput. Easy to install, use and maintain, it provides seamless integration, from X-ray exposure to print or softcopy. The CR 30-X comes with Agfa HealthCare's MUSICA2 gold-standard image processing software and the NX workstation. MUSICA2 analyzes each image and automatically applies the appropriate image enhancement parameters independent of the exam type, while the NX workstation provides very fast image acquisition and a smooth workflow.

The project also includes tabletop DRYSTAR 5300 direct digital imagers. They offer a small footprint that allows convenient next-to-application installation, plus low investment and running costs.

Modernizing diagnostic equipment in Uzbekistan
"The World Bank has allocated funds for modernizing different types of diagnostic equipment in Uzbekistan," comments Aman Djanabaev, General Manager of Agfa HealthCare's regional office in Almaty, Kazakhstan. "There are very few CRs in the country. That offered us a key opportunity to support the evolution of healthcare here. We worked closely with MOH specialists, doctors and decision makers for our tender. In the end, the CR 30-X best met the tender's technical specifications and the pricing requirements."
