Carestream Signs First Full Clinical Collaboration Platform Contract in the Netherlands

CarestreamCarestream has signed its first full Clinical Collaboration Platform (CCP) contract with the Ikazia Hospital in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This milestone agreement is for a period of five years, and is in addition to the PACS Cloud contract already in place with the hospital.

Opened in 1968, Ikazia Hospital is a medium-sized facility employing approximately 1,300 people in a wide range of departments, including radiology, cardiology, physiotherapy and gynaecology. In support of its commitment to provide the highest quality care, the hospital puts a firm focus on interconnectedness and collaboration, from doctor to patient and nurse to family. The new CCP contract with Carestream will help Ikazia achieve this.

The CARESTREAM Clinical Collaboration Platform gives those providing, managing, receiving and reimbursing care at a hospital the ability to access the clinical images required, from a single, unified platform, using the preferred device and application for each workflow and setting. The platform offers standards-based solutions onsite and as cloud-based services, ensuring both cost effectiveness and future proofing. Working closely with Ikazia Hospital, Carestream has been able to ensure the new system will be cost effective and cover all of its needs. This includes the capture, viewing, management, storage and exchange of information from and between all departments within the hospital, as well as with other locations in the same region with whom Ikazia collaborates. The vendor-neutral Clinical Collaboration Platform will communicate with these other sites’ systems seamlessly.

"With the service provided by Carestream, Ikazia Hospital is able to acquire, store, view and distribute almost all information between all the different hospital departments and doctors via one single platform and viewer. The service is also able to share this information with other organisations as necessary and even patients. Due to the single platform concept, the service is very cost effective and very user friendly." Stated Mr. R.P.D Kievit, General Manager, Ikazia Hospital.
