Be on the Cutting Edge of Telemedicine

HIMSS Europe29 - 30 October 2013, Edinburgh, UK.
The first European Telemedicine Conference will provide an opportunity to showcase Europe's global leadership role in telemedicine and Scotland's contribution to one of the fastest growing areas of innovation in healthcare. The Medical Director of NHS 24, Prof. George Crooks, OBE, will open the conference with a welcome address followed by presentations from leading experts in telemedicine from around the world.

The European Telemedicine Conference event will focus on practical telemedicine, telecare and mobile health implementations, best practices, research, development and innovation.

Based on the successful "Dragon's Den" BBC programme, the Innovation Hothouse will feature pitches by developers of their latest innovations to a panel of industry experts. The audience will decide upon the winning pitches and the winners will receive a special sponsorship "package" to assist in product development. There will be three sessions with pitches from:

  • Health and care public sector
  • Universities and R&D centers
  • Small to medium enterprise

The panel will be led by Mike Stevenson from Thinktastic. Now one of the nation's most sought after speakers, Mike is the ideal person to generate, lead and help to promote big ideas in the telemedicine market.
