We will continue working to demonstrate a more elaborated system and HIMSS stage 6 acknowledgments which will encourage us even to do more."

The HIMSS Turkey conference takes place March 20 & 21, 2015 at the Titanic Deluxe Belek Hotel in Antalya. The main themes of the conference are public private partnership projects, healthcare IT and mobility, standards in interoperability, patient involvement, personlised medicine and genomics.

H. Stephen Lieber, President and CEO of HIMSS, said: "Turkey is fast becoming a leading figure in Europe in the transformation of health care through information technology. With six new Stage 6 hospitals recognised this year and five identified last year, Turkey now has 11 'flagship' hospitals in terms of EMR adoption. In absolute numbers Turkey now has the third highest share of Stage 6/7 hospitals in Europe trailing only Spain and the Netherlands. This average and the high number of Stage 6 Award recipients brings Turkey in a league with the top EMRAM countries in Europe. I am proud to celebrate this great accomplishment with those who have driven the country to this strong leadership position."
