Digital Health & Wellness Summit at Mobile World Congress 2016

The European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) announced the first details of the Digital Health & Wellness Summit @ Mobile World Congress 2016 (DHWS2016) that will be held in Barcelona. The summit will involve a series of 4-days plenary sessions, interactive workshops, showcase innovations, personalised sites visits and B2B meetings, focusing on key areas of the eHealth sector. Besides the leading industries, hospitals and policy-makers, entrepreneurs and SMEs will have a main role in 2016 event with the Investors challenge 2016, a competition focused on innovative digital health projects. The DHWS2016 will be for the first time at 4 Years From Now (4YFN) programme, with a conference dedicated to innovative start-ups/SMEs and investors.

The summit will take place at Fira Gran Via, main venue of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) where more than 95,000 Attendees and 2,000 Exhibitors from 200+ countries are expected, with events also taking place at Fira Montjuïc and at Mobile World Centre.

Investors challenge 2016
ECHAlliance is launching the Investors Challenge 2016, a competition open to entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs, which are developing innovative solutions using digital technologies, applied to health and social care sectors. The candidates will be invited to present their project and connect with a panel of investors and experts.

The three winners will have a free registration for the Digital Health & Wellness Summit @ Mobile World Congress 2016 and a speaking slot during the plenary conference, benefiting from great exposure across the eHealth community during the event in Barcelona. Winners will also receive a free ECHAlliance membership for one year, and support for pitching opportunities across the ECHAlliance International Network of Ecosystems, among other advantages.

As well as the three winners, the best 24 candidates will have the opportunity to present their project during the Innovation Showcasing sessions at the summit. Each candidature will be analysed by our experts and investors panel. The deadline to submit applications for the challenge is 15th December.

ECHAlliance collaborates with 4 Years From Now (4YFN)
ECHAlliance will be at 4YFN organizing a session dedicated to innovative start-ups, SMEs and investors. 4YFN is an international programme organised by Mobile World Capital Barcelona and the GSMA, bringing together leading mobile start-ups and entrepreneurs with investors, accelerators, incubators and large corporations from both the digital and non-digital worlds. The programme of the ECHAlliance session will be led by internationally recognised experts in the field of innovation in healthcare that will join with the most promising entrepreneurs and start-ups. Attendees will have access to 4 Days 4YFN at Fira Montjüic.
