conhIT Newcomer Awards 2017: Health IT Industry Supports Talented Young People

conhIT 201725 - 27 April 2017, Berlin, Germany.
By bringing representatives of the Health IT industry and other Healthcare institutions together with prospective young employees conhIT 2017, Europe's leading event for Health IT, which is due to take place from 25 to 27 April 2017 on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, will be continuing last year's efforts to support young people and careers.

The numerous services are specifically aimed at students in their final year as well as graduates in search of a career. Besides the Career Workshop, the Career Speed Networking event, the Job Exchange and the career guide, one highlight of the career-oriented events will also be the presentation of the conhIT Newcomer Awards 2017.

"Talented young people with a focus on medical informatics, e-health, health economics and healthcare management have until 2 March 2017 to apply with their final Bachelor or Master's degree paper. A panel of experts representing science and industry will look at all the submissions and select those for an award which display a particularly practical approach towards implementing lasting healthcare improvements using IT. Thus, conhIT is not only where all the leading Healthcare IT suppliers meet, but also offers graduates a unique opportunity to start their careers," said Jens Naumann, deputy chairman of the board of the German Association of Healthcare IT Vendors (bvitg), the host of the event.

The prize money has been increased again for 2017 and now totals 6,500 euros. What is more, participants will receive a surprise "thank you present" and a free ticket to conhIT 2017. On 26 April 2017 the finalists will be given an opportunity to present their papers to an expert audience, after which the winners will receive their awards. The authors of the best final papers will also be able to take part in an exclusive conhIT Meet & Greet event, where they can meet the prize money sponsors, who are leading industry players.

The conhIT Newcomer Awards are among the career-oriented events taking place at conhIT, which in 2017 are being sponsored by the partners Agfa Healthcare GmbH, CompuGroup Medical Deutschland AG, medatixx GmbH & Co. KG, MEIERHOFER AG and VISUS Technology Transfer GmbH.
