Advanced Launches iNurse on Android Devices

Advanced Health & CareAdvanced Health & Care (Advanced) has announced the launch of iNurse on Android devices. Advanced was first to market with iNurse - a secure mobile patient management solution for community nurses - and is now leading the way by making the solution available on all Android devices, including Smartphones and tablets.

This latest development enables community teams to record and communicate patient care information via a wide range of Android phones and tablets. This is in addition to the range of devices that iNurse is already compatible with, including Windows Mobile and Blackberry.

Jim Chase, Managing Director of Advanced Health & Care says, "The demand for iNurse is increasing year-on-year and as health providers look to improve efficiencies and cut costs without a detrimental effect on standards of community care, we expect this demand to continue. By making iNurse available on a wider range of mobile devices, we are providing greater choice and are keeping in step with the very latest technologies."

The roll-out of iNurse on Android tablets will improve the usability of iNurse for those users that prefer viewing and inputting information on larger devices. As all Android phones and tablets come with an integrated Google maps application, this also provides satellite navigation functionality, helping nurses to locate patient homes in unfamiliar areas.

Advanced recognises the importance of security and so iNurse also includes a security solution that enables patient data to be remotely wiped should a device ever get lost or stolen.

Chase comments, "Nurses and community clinicians have the confidence of knowing that patient information held on iNurse is far more secure than paper records. Should a user lose their iNurse device, they simply contact head office who can arrange for the patient data to be remotely removed."

iNurse is already revolutionising community nursing by reducing the number of times nurses need to travel to and from the office, improving efficiencies, cutting costs, supporting compliance and improving the quality of patient care. This latest development will see even more health providers investing in iNurse, helping to change the very face of community nursing.
