Software Europe Adds 28 New NHS Customers in One Quarter

Software Europe, the provider of online expenses, contract and workflow management, has ended 2013 on a record high, adding 29 new clients in its third quarter. 28 of those clients are NHS providers. The new deals mean that Software Europe now administers over £65 million pounds of expenses to over 600,000 NHS employees across the UK. Software Europe's cloud-based Expenses Health product has been chosen in the third quarter by, amongst others, Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust. New customers also include an Ambulance trust, a mental health trust, a CSU and a newly-formed CCG taking the total NHS customers to over 130.

Software Europe uses a bi-directional interface to send and receive expenses data with the national NHS' Electronic Staff Record (ESR), a single Human Resources and Payroll database for all NHS employees. This is also supported by mobile apps from Software Europe to enable employees to submit their expenses and approve claims on the move.

The NHS spends around 80 per cent of its expenses budget on mileage, a figure, which Expenses Health is designed to reduce by up to 20 per cent. Taking just 6-8 weeks for deployment, Return on Investment is rapid.

Software Europe's cloud-based Expenses Health saves money by enabling submission of claims online, seamless integration with NHS ESR and through its efficient and streamlined management of claims right through to payment.

Software Europe's cloud-based Expenses Health saves money and resources by enabling submission and approval of claims online, mileage validation and NHS rules based calculations, and seamless integration with NHS ESR for managing the entire process through to payment accurately and efficiently.

Deborah Saunby, Sales Director at Software Europe commented, "We had a fantastic end to 2013. In Q3, our new client list was up 59 per cent from Q3 last year and our sales revenue was up 31 per cent from Q3 last year. Our new NHS clients are particularly rewarding and significant because the NHS efficiency targets of saving £20 billion by 2014-2015 are looming. Our clients are using the Expenses Health software within 6-8 weeks of signing the contract so it's a fast way of saving up to 20 per cent of the total expenses budget.

"Travel and expenses are one of the highest NHS costs. Migrating expenses online via the cloud, reducing processing and resources, eliminating duplicate expenses and producing more accurate mileage payments are Expenses Health's great strength," Saunby continued.
