New President of International to Further Orion Health's Global Footprint and Continue Success

Orion Health Ltd.Orion Health, Ltd., a market leader in providing clinical workflow and integration technology for electronic health record solutions, today announced the appointment of Charles Scatchard as the new President of International - covering the EMEA, India, and North Asia regions and assisting in Latin America. Orion Health™ has seen tremendous growth over the past year in the EMEA and Asian markets and is starting to see expansion into both India and Latin America.

Ian McCrae, CEO of Orion Health, says "Attracting an executive of Charles Scatchard's calibre is a significant step forward in the growth of Orion Health. Charles Scatchard has an outstanding track record in the industry, and having him on board to lead key geographies is vital to our success as an organisation globally. Now is an exciting time for Orion Health as we continue to expand and grow in various regions around the globe. We look forward to Charles adding to this progression and to celebrating many successes with him in his new role."

Charles joins Orion Health with a wealth of experience and knowledge that will bring much continued success and new opportunities. Most recently he was the VP of Healthcare & Life Sciences for EMEA, at Oracle, which he helped lead to become the company's fastest growing sector. Before this, he held a similar role within IBM, where he led the IBM Global Services business through its most meteoric phase of growth.

Charles began his career in the UK National Health Service (NHS), as a healthcare economist. With more than 25 years working in the high technology sector of healthcare and life sciences he has held a variety of senior sales, marketing and consulting positions in Digital Equipment, EDS, CSC and IBM. In addition, Charles has worked with academic medical centres, health insurers, regulators, pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech and bioinformatics companies, medical device manufacturers, retail pharmacies and pharmacy benefits management companies.

In more recent years, Charles has dedicated his career to being involved with the planning, design, implementation and management of health information networks at the leading edge of e-health. An example of such a system is the National e-Health Information Network (NEHIN) in Massachusetts, US, conceived in partnership with Partners Healthcare and several world-leading healthcare institutions. This system created an extranet for eligibility, referrals, authorisations and claims for every major provider and payer in the state in the wake of the Health Insurance and Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) reforms. This has become one of the major models for the US National Health Information Network (NHIN) program.

Charles Scatchard, Orion Health's newly appointed President of International says, "It's a great time to take on this multi-region role. Orion Health is well on the way to becoming the leader in e-Health across the globe and we are delighted with the positive response to our Concerto® and Rhapsody® solutions. We believe we have the edge in delivering large-scale integration solutions across multi-site health organisations, as has been the case for a number of our global customers. All of which are already seeing measurable benefits."

Charles will be joining Orion Health in time for the HIMSS World Health IT Conference in Barcelona, March 15th to 18th where he will lead the team's sales effort and meet with potential and current customers to build relationships or open dialogue. Orion Health will be showcasing the Rhapsody® Integration Engine and Concerto® Clinical Portal, both of which are implemented in electronic health records (EHRs) at some of Europe's leading healthcare organisations.
