Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Select Rhapsody Integration Engine Orion Health

Orion Health LimitedOrion Health Limited, a leading provider of integration and clinical workflow technology to the health sector, announced today that Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Trust has selected Rhapsody Integration Engine to integrate their clinical data systems in their hospitals and provide preparedness for new infrastructure provided by NHS Connecting for Health.

Rhapsody Integration Engine will be implemented across the three acute hospitals operated by the Trust: the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole & District Hospital.

Rhapsody will link clinical systems across the Trust to improve efficiency of data exchange and the quality of patient records. The Trust plans to use Rhapsody to connect their Radiology, Pathology, Patient Administration System (PAS), Data Warehouse, Cancer and Theatre systems.

Over the next two years, Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust intends to triple the volume of messages sent around the organisation.

Rhapsody will enable the rapid integration of stand alone systems and will allow the Trust to fully manage their own expanding interfacing requirements.

"Rhapsody will allow our Trust to connect our I.T. systems more rapidly and reliably, and this means better clinical data for our staff," said Terance Shird, Senior IM&T Project Manager at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Trust. "During our selection process, we evaluated a number of integration tools, and we were particularly impressed with how Rhapsody performed against its competitors."
