CORDIS launches new Guidance and Support section

A new 'Guidance and Support' section has been published by CORDIS, the EU's official information service on research, technological development and innovation, in order to further improve the help for users to make the most of CORDIS services.

The new Guidance and Support section is a single gateway to all support services for 'top level' pages, and to all services that provide specific guidance and support to users. It is therefore the first address for everyone looking for help to find their way around the CORDIS website and the services delivered by CORDIS.

The revamped service is a centralised access point to 'help' topics and tools such as indexes, the glossary, the CORDIS FAQ, a map of all services represented on the site, the What's New section, and general background information about CORDIS.

Users looking for specific detailed information will find useful tools in the A-Z index, the quick links and the general search facility for CORDIS. If these services still leave questions unanswered, the Guidance and Support section provides direct access to a number of explanatory brochures and to the CORDIS Helpdesk.

Interested users can also take advantage of the Guidance and Support section to register for individualised services and to subscribe to useful services such as the e-mail alert or the RSS feeds.

Furthermore, an events list highlights conferences, exhibitions and other events where CORDIS will be represented. Finally, there is also a gateway to other relevant, related services of the Office for Official Publications, such as the EU Bookshop or Eur-Lex, the database of EU legislation.

The new Guidance and Support service is available in six languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Polish.
