Siemens Partners with Leading Turkish Value Added Reseller for Soarian MedSuite

Siemens HealthcareSiemens has entered into a value-added reseller agreement with leading Turkish healthcare solutions company, Simeks Tibbi Sistemler Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi, to sell Soarian MedSuite, Siemens' innovative Hospital Information System (HIS). Simeks has been specifically licensed to sell MedSuite HIS software licenses, services, and support plans to healthcare providers in Turkey.

"The joint vision of Siemens and Simeks is to provide significant value to our customers in Turkey through innovative products, solutions, and services," said Mr. Gercek Sunman, CEO, Simeks. "Soarian MedSuite, with its advanced architecture design, will allow us to deliver the solution with greater flexibility and extendibility to meet our customers' expectations. It also gives us great pleasure to be associated with a group like Siemens that brings over 35 years of healthcare IT experience accompanied by a zest for future innovation."

"The partnership with Simeks is a very important part of our integrated healthcare company strategy," said Mr. Ufuk Eren, CEO, Eastern Mediterranean Cluster, Siemens Healthcare. "Soarian MedSuite, as a workflow optimizing HIS solution, will strengthen our portfolio in the region, which already has high-quality advanced imaging systems and patient-centric in vitro/lab diagnostics."

Soarian MedSuite is an innovative and scalable HIS solution that helps hospitals worldwide manage the administration of better patient care and increase efficiency by arming caregivers with integrated tools to manage administrative, clinical, and financial processes. Soarian MedSuite’s differentiator comes from the ground breaking technology platform with a smart combination of advanced service-oriented architecture (SOA), rich internet application (RIA), and a business process manager (BPM) that is integrated with the business logic of the application. This powerful combination allows delivering a role-based HIS solution that provides healthcare organizations with greater agility to adapt to change when and where it's needed and with richer and engaging user experience.

"Siemens selected Simeks for its strong understanding of the Turkish healthcare IT market, and believes it will prove strategic to Siemens' channel-selling approach in Turkey," said Bernt Klein, Sr. vice president worldwide strategy, Health Services Sales and Marketing, Siemens Healthcare. "The new agreement extends Siemens' ability to reach private and public acute care facilities in that region seeking an integrated HIS that delivers administrative, clinical, and financial solutions to help them achieve their most important healthcare goals."

Soarian MedSuite is currently live at healthcare facilities in Mexico, Turkey, South Africa, and The United Arab Emirates, and is scheduled to launch at multiple sites in Egypt and Lithuania over the next several months.
