Agfa HealthCare Invites 150 Top-Level Customers to an Exclusive Healthcare Seminar

Agfa HealthCareAgfa HealthCare, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions, is attending the World Expo Shanghai in China, where it is hosting a special customer event on June 9th. This event, organized in cooperation with the City of Antwerp, the University of Antwerp, the Antwerp World Diamond Center, POM Antwerp, Antwerp Port Authority and the Province of Antwerp as part of the 'Antwerp Week', underscores the strong presence of Agfa HealthCare globally, and in the Chinese healthcare market in particular. The company, active in that market since the early 1990's, currently provides solutions for nearly one out of two hospitals in the country. A selection of Agfa HealthCare's broad portfolio of solutions will be on display at the event.

To learn about and address local market needs, Agfa HealthCare has invited 150 CEOs and Radiology department heads from leading Chinese hospitals and care facilities for a special seminar on healthcare at the 'Belgian Pavilion' in Shanghai. Together with the City of Antwerp and the ZNA (Ziekenhuis Netwerk Antwerpen, Hospital Network Antwerp), Agfa HealthCare will host an exclusive seminar on healthcare imaging and IT solutions.

ZNA is Belgium's largest hospital group, and one of Europe's top ten hospitals in size. Its nine sites count around 2500 beds and serve over 1 million inhabitants in the Antwerp region. The hospital group manages over 400,000 radiology exams annually and employs 37 radiologists, a nuclear medicine specialist and over 600 clinicians across its facilities. ZNA makes active use of Agfa HealthCare's leading technologies, including its Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) and Digital Imaging solutions. At the event, ZNA will present a case study on a 'Multi-hospital PACS Implementation in Antwerp Hospitals'.

"The goal of our PACS project was to implement a stable, fully-functional, minimum-risk PACS that would meet demands at the enterprise level, not just the radiology level, while maximizing the delivery of patient care and Return On Investment." says the Head of the Radiology department at ZNA Middelheim Hospital, Belgium, Dr. De Surgeloose.
