University Hospital of South Manchester Selects Allscripts Sunrise(TM)

AllscriptsUniversity Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) selected the Allscripts (Nasdaq:MDRX) SunriseTM platform as its new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system to enhance care coordination for healthcare providers, patients and families.

UHSM is a major acute teaching hospital based in Wythenshawe, Manchester, United Kingdom. With the Sunrise suite, UHSM plans to transform its clinical practice by delivering integrated care records from admission through discharge, actively engaging patients in their healthcare experience and enabling EPR integration with other health organizations. The goal is to improve patient safety, clinical effectiveness and the quality of patient outcomes in a way that can be continuously measured and improved.

The system is utilized in hospitals in the UK and around the world, enabling UHSM to harness their experience to revolutionize the provision of care. The Electronic Patient Record system will enable us to transform the way we work, and as a project will empower clinical staff to lead the new design of the system and service redesign across the whole pathway of care for patients."
