CompuGroup Medical Enters a New Market

CompuGroup MedicalCompuGroup Medical, one of the leading eHealth companies, expanded its European position by acquiring the Belgian company Belgiedata BVBA. The company now has a presence in 24 countries.

Belgiedata develops and sells doctor information systems (DIS) to approximately 2,400 general practitioners in Belgium. The company is a market leader in their section with a market share of 25%. The software solutions support the physician in patient treatment and medical office administration. Revenues of 700,000 Euros are planned for 2010, with an expected EBITDA of 145,000 Euros.

They provide the physician with decision assistance during treatment, mobilize efficiency reserves and support with an intelligent cross linking of all participants.

"CompuGroup Medical combines the tried and true with innovations and therefore taps the market's enormous vertical growth potential," summarized Frank Gotthardt, chair of the corporation. "With Belgiedata, we have acquired a profitable company with a very loyal and longstanding customer base. Through the acquisition of the market leader, we have immediately obtained a strong position in the Belgian healthcare sector," states the company founder in conclusion.
