FP7 - ICT Proposers' Information Day

Follow up IST 2006 with a visit to Köln 2007!
Congress Centrum Koelnmesse, Köln - 1 February 2007.
A one day event to help ICT researchers respond to the calls for proposals under the work programme 2007/2008 of the 7th Framework Programme for R&D.

It will be an opportunity for researchers to meet other people with similar or complementary interests, and wishing to form project consortia. The event will consist of an information fair, with no formal agenda. It will open with a short ceremony led by Dr. Annette Schavan, German Federal Minister of Education and Research and Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media.

From January 2007, the European Commission website will support on-line networking and exchange of ideas amongst participants. Participants are also encouraged to prepare a profile of themselves, and their research interests before the event, together with a short profile of the skills and industrial expertise they are looking for.

A series of 'networking booths', each corresponding to part of the work programme, will be provided at the event. Finally, Commission staff will be available to meet researchers to discuss such issues as: the scope and objectives of the work programme; the instruments; evaluation under FP7; and rules for participation and the general working of the programme.
