Information Day on European ICT Research & Development

ICT Proposers' Day - 1 February, 2007, Köln, Germany
A one day event to help ICT researchers respond to the calls for proposals under the work programme 2007/2008 of the 7th Framework Programme for R&D. Köln 2007 will be an opportunity to meet other people with similar or complementary research interests who wish to form project consortia.

The ICT Proposers Day will be organised as follows:

  • After a short opening ceremony with speeches from Dr. Annette Schavan, German Federal Minister of Education and Research and Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media, the rest of the day will be organised as an information fair, with no formal agenda
  • The Opening of the ICT Proposers Day will start at 9:30
  • Around 11:00, a series of 'networking booths', each corresponding to part of the work programme, will be opened, staffed by the European Commission. They are meeting points allowing opportunities for networking and formation of consortia
  • The Event will take place on 3 levels
  • The Commission is providing LAN access
  • Boulevard or "atrium" around the conference centre will be the place where the booths will stand
  • No exhibition like in Helsinki (IST 2006 event) is foreseen
  • 16:30 end of the ICT Proposers Day
