Accelerating Process Improvement and Innovation via e-Business Standards

The CEN/ISSS e-Business Interoperability Forum will hold its third annual conference under the title: "Accelerating process improvement and innovation via e-Business standards" on 15 and 16 November 2007 in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

The main thread for the conference links up with actualities: Standards and Interoperability in 'e-Invoicing' and 'e-Procurement'.

This international conference is open to representatives from any interested company or organization that now or in future will get into contact with these business topics. Examples are IT vendors, end-users from industry, SME's, public administrations, ...

Participants will be informed and share experiences about opportunities, benefits, problems and solutions in e-business interoperability in Europe today, for example:

  • What is 'the Single European Electronic Market' and how is it connected to 'the Single Euro Payment Area' (Keynotes)?
  • How can industrial sectors achieve interoperability and reap the benefits?
  • How standardization anticipates and contributes to the required playing field?
  • How does e-business interoperability in practical and strategic terms affect the world of business managers?

The Conference will include four separate sessions, spread over two days:

Day 1, 15 November 2007:
Morning session: Business Benefits (research and practice)
Afternoon session: Enabling Interoperability - Issues and approaches

Day2, 16 November 2007:
Morning session: e-Business interoperability strategy
Afternoon session: Tutorial session on strategic policy and technology developments

Participation to the conference is free of charge, but requires pre-registration. The number of participants is limited. Early registration is advised.
