Cisco Healthcare Germany selects Ekahau as its Strategic RTLS Partner

Ekahau, the worldwide leader in high performance Wi-Fi-based Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), announced a strategic cooperation with Cisco Healthcare in Germany. Ekahau is already a member of the Cisco Developer Network (CDN) and Ekahau RTLS solution is CCX- (Cisco Compatible Extensions) and Cisco Assurewave -certified. In addition, Ekahau has implemented advanced features in supporting Cisco wireless infrastructure and leveraging Cisco's open API interfaces, and companies have therefore decided to work in a closer partnership in the German healthcare market.

"Cisco Healthcare Germany decided to engage in a strategic partnership with Ekahau because of their advanced technology and the cost-effective overall solution. Another reason for this choice was the fact that here in Germany Ekahau provides all its services in German, which is considered as an important precondition for our cooperation," says Axel Barthel, Account Manager Healthcare with Cisco Healthcare Germany.

The cooperation between Ekahau and Cisco Healthcare Germany provides the following benefits to the customers:

  • Strong joint Partner ecosystem enabling innovative overall solutions in the healthcare market
  • Certified and tested interoperability
  • Future-proof investments relying on two market and innovation leaders
  • Simple operation of the joint-solution to ensure maximum customer value

Following the joint appearance of Cisco and Ekahau at the ConHit Berlin conference in April, the next joint presentation in Germany is planned for the Medica conference in Düsseldorf in November.

"We are very glad about the cooperation with Cisco Healthcare Germany," says Dirk Lenz, Ekahau's Regional Manager of Central and Eastern Europe. "We have already had excellent cooperation in the recent years and we will now continue to expand the partnership." In cooperation with Cisco Healthcare Germany and their service partners, several Ekahau RTLS solutions are already installed in several German hospitals.
