Professorship for Digital Health Interventions

The professorship is created together with the University of St. Gallen (HSG) at the newly founded "School of Medicine" of the HSG and affiliated with the Institute for Implementation Science of the University of Zurich. The future professor will become a member of the board of directors of the "School of Medicine". The professorship will also be closely associated with the "Digital Society Initiative" of the University of Zurich. Further professorships in the field of Digital Health and Implementation Science are located at the Institute for Implementation Science. The place of work will be primarily in St. Gallen.

The successful candidate will participate in development of the new institute and will establish own competitive research in the field of the advertised professorship. She/he will actively participate in teaching within the framework of the Joint Medical Master of the University of Zurich and the University of St. Gallen and in the promotion of young academics.

Successful candidates have scientific and practical experience in the development and implementation of digital technologies to improve medical care. The prerequisite for an appointment is a completed habilitation or an equivalent academic qualification. Internationally recognized independent research in the promising and innovative field of "Digital Health Interventions" is expected as well as competitive third-party funding.

Important for this position are excellent communication skills, especially with experts in the various health professions, a highly integrative personality, experiences of successful work in interdisciplinary teams and a sense for overarching goals. In addition, a strong commitment to cooperate with other University Institutes, University Hospitals and other local, national and international research institutions is indispensable.
