Towards Sustainable and Personalised Healthcare - Call for Experts

ICT for Health (eHealth)ICT for Health (eHealth) is looking for experts related to four objectives addressed by the call 4 (& 6 to be launched end 2009) for proposals (1 - Personal Health Systems; 2 - Patient Safety; 3 - Virtual Physiological Human; 4 - International Cooperation in VPH).

The European Commission has published a call for experts addressed to organisations and individuals. The purpose is to establish a database of independent experts to assist the Commission's services for tasks in connection with the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) (2007-2013).

These experts will be called to assist in various tasks, e.g., evaluation of proposals, assistance in the monitoring of projects and other purposes where specific expertise might be required.

ICT for Health (eHealth) is looking for experts related to four objectives addressed by the call 4 (& 6 to be launched end 2009) for proposals:

  • Personal Health Systems
  • Patient Safety
  • Virtual Physiological Human
  • International Cooperation in VPH

The specific areas of expertise include telemonitoring and telecare, biomedical sensors, medical implants, artificial organs, signal processing, mobile and wireless communications, user interfaces, text mining, data mining, semantic integration and interoperability of health data, ontology, security/privacy, medical imaging processing and analysis, in silico simulation, visualisation, modelling of physiolgical processes and supporting infrastructures and tools like High Performance Computing and Grid technologies. The clinical applications require expertise in medicine, surgery, biology, genetics, bio-mechanics and pharmacology. Objective 4 will also require expertise in international research cooperation.
