CompuGroup Medical concluded an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Microbais Werkmaatschappij B.V.. Microbais is one of the market leaders in ambulatory and pharmacy information systems in the Netherlands. The 2011 turnover is expected to amount to 11.2 million Euro with about 70% recurring revenue and EBITDA is expected to be 2.5 million Euro.

Spanish researchers, led by Pedro Carmona from the Instituto de Estructura de la Materia in Madrid, have uncovered a new promising way to diagnose Alzheimer's disease more accurately. Their technique, which is non-invasive, fast and low-cost, measures how much infrared radiation is either emitted or absorbed by white blood cells.
