The theme for MEDINFO 2013 is "Conducting medical informatics by Converging technologies, Conveying sciences and Connecting people". The congress welcomes submissions on both emerging methodologies that contribute to the conceptual and scientific foundations of biomedical and health informatics, and successful implementations of innovative application, integration, and evaluation of eHealth systems and solutions.
MEDINFO 2013 is organized around four major tracks relevant to the domains of translational bioinformatics, clinical informatics, clinical research informatics, nursing informatics, consumer health informatics, and public health informatics; topics include but are not limited to:
Representing and understanding biomedical knowledge:
Enhancing care, patient safety and outcome:
Managing care information and workflow:
Enabling cost-effective health care:
Papers: Original contributions with novel methodologies or new insights which advance the science and application of biomedical and health informatics should be submitted as full papers.
Student papers: Student-led papers that describe complete or nearly complete research or development efforts; student papers selected for award consideration will be invited to present at the pre-conference Student Paper Competition.
Posters: Illustrative posters which describe pilot research, research in progress, or the design of systems or processes, with a clear statement of the degree of innovation, should be submitted as one-page abstracts.
All submissions must be in English and conform to the prescribed submission guidelines and formats, which will be available on the MEDINFO 2013 website: www.medinfo2013.dk (Information on calls for other forms of submission, and on the opening of the submission system, will be made in the near future).
