conhIT 2015 Features the Latest Congress Topics and the New Mobile Health Zone

conhIT, Europe's leading industry event for healthcare IT, is set to continue its success story. Demand for places at next year's conhIT already exceeds the number of registrations over the same period last year. Once again, conhIT Partner numbers have also risen. Seven Gold and seven Silver Partners as well as 20 Bronze Partners will be expanding their involvement in the next Industrial Fair with partnership agreements. All the leading market players as well as many established medium-sized companies and innovative startups will be presenting their health IT innovations at conhIT 2015 in Berlin.

The number of combined national displays currently registered reflects the high level of international demand for places at next year’s event. Denmark, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland will be represented with a national pavilion. conhIT 2015 will witness the launch of the mobile health ZONE where mobile healthcare IT solutions will be showcased at so-called "expert points". The mobile health ZONE, which also features a discussion area, provides an opportunity for developers, members of industry, users and potential investors to engage in dialogue and establish new business contacts.

Congress addresses the latest topics
Key topics at conhIT 2015 will include the future law governing e-health. This will be the subject of in-depth discussion with views from various perspectives at the Congress events. "Furthermore, we will be focusing on the increasing role of the patient. More and more options now exist for collecting and managing one's own health data. There is also a desire to get people more involved in their own healthcare. We need to discuss this trend as well as data protection, IT security and big data issues," says Prof. Dr. Paul Schmücker, president of the conhIT Congress.

Another main point is the future role of IT in hospitals against the backdrop of ever-growing challenges in the hospital IT environment. Topics include optimisation of treatment processes, setting up of computer-aided risk management, introduction of a healthcare telematics platform and implementation of the law governing IT security.
