SpinLab - The HHL Accelerator for Startups in Germany and Beyond

SpinLab - The HHL Accelerator supports entrepreneurial teams in growing and creating innovative businesses. SpinLab's mission is to foster entrepreneurship and innovation in the center of Germany and beyond by providing hands-on guidance to startups and spin-offs. Entrepreneurial teams remain independent - you do your job - but you will get support to achieve incredible results through a tailored program.

If you are an excellent team of passionate and entrepreneurial founders with a scalable, technology-based concept, in the later pre-seed, seed, or expansion phase, SpinLab wants you. Early pre-seed projects will only be chosen in exceptional cases.

Startups are welcome, and have succesfully hosted, from areas such as:

SpinLab will also take startups in areas not listed here. They're really just looking for great teams who are dedicated to making their ideas and visions come to life.

To this end are provided (co-working) office space at SPINNEREI (Leipzig's Cotton Mill), an internationally renowned venue for arts, culture and business. The technology partners are able to provide key resources to help you make your ideas a reality. Highly-motivated coaches and mentors share their know-how and experience as part of the interactive program using team discussions, seminars, workshops and other formats.

Actively searching for eHealth-based startups
SpinLab has succesfully acquired a new partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Consumer Protection in Saxony. One of the ministry's primary goals will be furthering a startup that is looking to expand innovation in the eHealth and/or telemedicine sectors. The Saxonian state offers public grants and research funding with an overal budget of 30 to 40 million Euro until 2020. If you're a startup in this sector and are looking to get into an accelerator, now is your chance.

Applying to SpinLab program is easy and straight-forward. Simply submit your application on f6s.com, a popular international startup platform that is used by many leading accelerators worldwide, before the above stated deadline. As a side note, F6S can also be used for various purposes such as recruiting, startup deals, browsing international startups, or finding investors. Once received, the applications will be reviewed by an independent advisory board.

SpinLab - The HHL Accelerator supports innovative founding projects with the implementation and growth of their ventures. In addition to intensive coaching, the founding teams will also benefit from a high-caliber mentoring program as well as numerous contacts to investors, established companies and other founders. They can use a co-working office with state-of-the art equipment on the premises of Spinnerei, an old cotton mill now serving as a center for creativity, and will gain access to various technologies offered by partners. Even after completing the program, the startup teams are supported in their recruiting efforts, they can plan their expansion through an international exchange program and they get the opportunity to rent office space next to SpinLab. The founders will be able to use all offers free of charge when they are accepted for the six-month program.
