Enline Announces Commercial Partnership with Microsoft

MicrosoftEnline plc, one of the UK's leading Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution providers, has announced it has become a Microsoft partner in the UK to deliver and sell Microsoft's health-specific IAM products. Enline has extensive knowledge of the health market and a clear vision of the benefits provided by solutions such as clinical context and user provisioning to NHS organisations.

The NHS is facing an incredible challenge to provide an ever increasing level of service while having to deal with continuing pressures on available budgets. Healthcare organisations are expected to operate more efficiently and improve the effectiveness of existing clinical systems whilst undergoing a period of transition. Providing Clinicians with the right patient data, appropriate to their role and in a format best suited to their requirements is core to the effort required to create these efficiencies.

In the UK, Microsoft's IAM portfolio consists of three products created specifically for healthcare organisations: expreSSO, a next-generation cost efficient single sign-on solution, Vergence, which unifies the single sign-on capability of expreSSO with context management, role-based access and strong authentication into a fully integrated clinical workstation and Microsoft proVision for automated centralised creation and management of network and application accounts. Collectively over 17 NHS trusts have signed contracts for IAM products from Microsoft to help deliver better clinical efficiency and reduced costs.

Whether used separately or collectively, the products enable the right people to access the right information at the right time. Microsoft has in the past year seen rapid enterprise-wide deployment with 17 NHS Trusts now using one or more Microsoft IAM products.

The addition of Enline represents an expansion in Microsoft's commercial strategy to adopt a channel approach that complements its existing direct to NHS approach.

John Gobron, Director Health Solutions Microsoft said: "We are pleased that Enline, as an IAM specialist with a wealth of experience in healthcare, has chosen to partner with Microsoft at such a critical time for the NHS. Healthcare organisations need to focus on vital issues of efficiency in infrastructure, people and outcomes and Enline will be delivering our innovative IAM products to help Trusts provide their clinicians with streamlined access to applications and patient data."

Mike Nelsey, Managing Director Enline plc said: "We are delighted to launch our association with Microsoft. Using solutions from Microsoft such as Clinical Context management and User Provisioning along with our wealth of experience, we can help Trusts to deliver a user-orientated approach to the challenge of multiple application logon, patient privacy and information delivery where and when it is needed."
